Technical Support
and TechNotes
This section of the site contains a selection of technical
information and application notes offering suggestions about
the use of our units, and solutions to popular technical
support requests.
Got a problem that needs looking at (non-medical only please),
having an option fitted, or just sending back stock for
a service? All our units are guaranteed for 5 years and
we try to support everything we have ever manufactured.
Returning units is simple.
IMPORTANT: Please include a brief note of why the unit is
being returned - even if you have been in contact about
the return beforehand, things will happen faster if there's
a reminder in the box!
FROM WITHIN THE UK & EU:
No additional special instructions.
FROM
OUTSIDE THE EU:
Every consignment that enters the UK from outside of the
EU will need to be accompanied by a commercial invoice.
Please click HERE
for a template that you can use if you do not already have
one. An extremely important piece of information that needs
to be displayed on the invoice is the following:
“TEMPORARY EXPORT - GOODS RETURNING TO MANUFACTURER
FOR REPAIR. VALUE FOR CUSTOMS AND INSURANCE PURPOSES ONLY.
NOT FOR RE-SALE, DO NOT PAY THIS INVOICE.
COURIER INFORMATION – PLEASE IMPORT CONSIGNMENT UNDER
SIMPLIFIED IPR TERMS - CPC CODE - 5100001”
Make sure the COMMODITY CODE on the invoice is 85437090
- this covers all of our products.
In addition to the above please make sure that you notify
us when you are sending a unit for repair from outside
the EU. We need to know the shipping method (courier name)
and the tracking number (if applicable) so we can pre-notify
the shipping company of the temporary import instructions.
Failure to adhere to the above instructions could result
in costs from customs/shipping companies being incurred
by xta, which may then be passed on to YOU, the customer,
and no-one wants that!
FOR ALL RETURNS...
Pack the unit in its original box if possible, and send
back to the address below, clearly marked for SERVICE.
XTA Electronics,
The Design House,
Vale Business Park,
Worcester Road,
Stourport on Severn,
Worcestershire,
England.
DY13 9BZ
You don't need a returns number - this will be issued when
the unit is booked into our system, and you will receive
confirmation of its safe arrival, along with the returns
number, and any applicable charges.
YOU WILL NEED TO APPROVE THE CHARGES (if out of guarantee)
BEFORE
ANY WORK IS UNDERTAKEN.
Terms
and conditions are available here.
Any questions, just contact Gareth
- and quote your returns number if it's about something
you've sent back. Thanks.
Note that manuals and datasheets are in .pdf Adobe Acrobat
format. Download the latest reader from their site by clicking
on the logo.

keep them - try doing that with a phone call!
