Dante Firmware Updates…

To access the latest features on the Dante network, including AES67 support, AudioCore > Dante Network device naming, and use the DPA failover/redundancy features, you may need to update the firmware on your Dante card.  Instructions on how to check and do this are here.  Firmware images for APA, DPA and DNA amplifiers are in three separate download due to size.

All Other Units…

The downloadable file below contains the latest firmware updates for the DP548, DP448 (and all 4 Series units), DP226, DP224, DP6i and SiDD (DP324).It also contains the necessary flash loader utility to perform the update via the unit’s RS232 port ONLY.  Note that some older versions of firmware are available in this history section – linked items may be clicked on and the zip file containing the software downloaded.

This loader is required to recognise the older DP428. Note that the DP428 is updated to the DP448 with this software version. No memories or settings will be lost in this process. The zip file also contains the last updates to the DP224, DP226, DP6i, SiDD (DP324, and Series 2 processors (C2, G2, D2, E2 – one file for all four units).

Update Instructions

Please follow the instructions carefully. If you are unsure about what to do, do nothing and give us a call – we’ll be only too happy to talk you through the process.

Requirements:

A PC running Windows 98SE/ME/2000/NT/XP/KP/WALKERS/7/8/10

A cable to connect from a free RS232 port on the computer to the 9 pin DEE connector on the unit.

Instructions (Standard loader):

Copy the file UPGRDXTA to an empty or new directory.
Unzip it: this will cause it to extract the latest binary firmware files (.bin) and an exe file. Running the exe file will start the loader program.

– 5 Series, 4 Series, DP224, DP226 and DP324: the interface must similarly be set to Master on RS232 and ID 1 at the correct baud rate.
– DC1048: the USB connection on the front panel must be used and the unit set to Master and ID 1.
– DP6i: the interface must be set to Master RS232 mode ID 1 at the same speed as the loader running on the PC (interface numbers 00, 02, or 04, for 38k4, 19k2 or 9600 baud respectively).
– Series 2 products (C/D/E/G2): the RS232 interface is automatically preset to run at 38400 baud, ID 1, no configuration is required.

Warning! Close any open programs. Any interruptions, internal or external during the download process can cause the unit to become inoperable (including a reattempt at download).
